QA TESTER - Contract
Deck Nine Games is an independent game developer located in Westminster, Colorado. We are currently hiring a contract QA Tester (entry level) for our current storytelling-style game. This would be a six month contract with the option to extend or go full time. The title is not yet announced, but will be on consoles and PCs. The style of the game is a realistic drama told in a highly cinematic way, with meaningful choices that the player makes throughout.
As a QA Tester, you will work directly with the
development teams to test features and content as they are implemented. You
will get to use both your technical and artistic backgrounds while helping the
team make better tools, and a great game. This position will report directly to
the QA Lead.
Requirements:
- Interest and ability to
work carefully and thoroughly with a clear eye for details
- Critical thinker that
can identify trouble spots
- Able to follow
directions, but can think outside of the box to find potential issues
- Strong in organization
and analytical thinking
- Well spoken, detail
oriented, quick learners, adaptive, multi-taskers
- Technical or artistic
background, very interested in problem solving and collaboration
- Passion for the game
industry
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal 4
- Understanding of the
game development process
- Experience with QA
testing
- Familiarity with coding
languages or logic
- Familiarity with Jira
or similar bug tracking database
Position is contract, remote / onsite are both possible. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S.
