Job Requirements
TheAnimation and Interactive Media Programme is seeking candidates with expertisein one or more areas of 2D and 3D animation and interactive media that mayinclude 2D and 3D digital arts, 2D and 3D animation, narrative media, historyand theory of animation and interactive media, motion graphics, and VR and AR.Experience and practice in the industry, sound design, and creative coding aredesirable skills that we could use. The successful candidate will beresponsible for maintaining a creative practice or research while teaching,managing, supervising, facilitating field trips, tutoring and caring for bothUG and PG students.
Candidatesshould have a Ph.D. or at least a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in GameDesign and/or Development. In addition to research or creative practice, thecandidate should be qualified to teach UG and PG courses in one or more areassuch as digital painting and drawing, 3D modelling and animation, characterdesign and animation, scene design, interactive media, storytelling andnarratives, among other related subjects. Candidates are expected to haveknowledge and experience of the use of 3D modelling software and games enginessuch as Unity and Unreal Engine.
Proficiencyin English is required. English is the medium of instruction in the Animationand Interactive Media Programme. Academic rank will be determined in accordancewith the successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.

· Preferably a PhD inAnimation, or Game Design, or Computer Science

· Membership of relevant professional bodies.
· Postgraduate qualification in Teaching andLearning in the Higher Education or equivalent professional bodies.
Skills/ raining
· Ability to teach 3D Modelling, 3D Animation,Scenery Design, Character Design, Motion Graphics, VR & AR, AnimationStorytelling, Animation History, Drawing Fundamentals, SculptingFundamentals.
· Proficient in the following designing tools:Unity, Blender, Processing, Maya, Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, Houdini.
· Having proficiency in the following programminglanguages: C#, Python, JavaScript.
Experience
· Preferably three years of teaching experiences inhigher education institutions.
· Having experience in course/program/curriculumdesign/development.
· Proved experience in management andadministration.
· Evidence of working with external institutions(industry or academia).
· Sustained PhD completions.
Language Skills
· Proficient in English.
· Proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

The Cinema and Televisionprogram is seeking candidates in one or more areas of both film production andfilm studies, capable of instructing courses including Directing,Cinematography, Film Producing, Sound Recording and Mixing, Color Grading,Photo Imaging, Film Editing, Special Effects, Production Design, VirtualProduction, Film History, Film Theory, Film Culture, and more. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for maintaining a creative practice or researchwhile teaching, managing, supervising, facilitating field trips, tutoring andcaring for both UG and PG students.
Candidatesshould have a Ph.D. or at least a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree withteaching experience in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expectedto be committed to excellence in UG or PG teaching. Preference will be given tocandidates who have professional experience in entertainment or media, e.g.working in film and/or media industry and having professional credits andindustry connections. The candidate should be cooperative, patient, andenthusiastic.
Proficiencyin English is required. English is the medium of instruction in the Cinema andTelevision Program. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with thesuccessful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.

· Preferably a PhD inFilm Studies, Media Studies, or Game Studies
· At least an MFA in any areas of Film Production

· Proficient in thefollowing software/applications: Premiere Pro, AVID, Pro Tools, Da VinciResolve.
· Stay informed aboutadvancements in industry equipment.
· Preferably threeyears of teaching experiences in higher education institutions.
· Having experience incourse/program/curriculum design/development.
· a minimum of fiveyears of experience in the film industry to instruct film production.
· Proved experience inmanagement and administration.
