About University of the Arts

One of the nation’s only universities dedicated solely to educating students in the visual and performing arts, design, and writing, UArts is a leader in educating creative individuals. Established in 1876, the University has developed an innovative, flexible approach to developing artists, designers and writers. Our more than 1,800 students are enrolled in 27 undergraduate and 22 graduate programs on our campus in the heart of Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts.
