About Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies
The School of Media Arts & Studies has more than 20 full-time faculty members and offers B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. programs to approximately 700 students. Facilities include two state-of-the-art recording studios, two Audio/Video/Animation Macintosh Labs, a
multi-camera television studio, as well as a wide array of field production equipment. Our PhD program in Mass Media Communication is offered jointly with the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. As such, the School of Media Arts & Studies offers a PhD in three topic areas mirroring our MA program: Media Management, Media Studies and International Media.
We also offer three distinct Masters Programs:
• We offer a standard MA in three topic areas: Media Management, Media Studies and International Media.
• With the Center for Public Media, we offer an MA in Public Media for mid-career professionals.
• With the Center for International Studies, we offer an MA in Communication and Development Studies. Ohio University, the oldest university west of the Allegheny Mountains, has a main
