About Disney Interactive Studios
Disney Interactive Studios (DIS), a unit of The Walt Disney Company, focusing on creation of video games based on Disney intellectual properties in addition to the creation of new properties. Avalanche was acquired by Disney in May of 2005. Until the acquisition, Avalanche had operated as an independent developer in the Salt Lake Valley from its? inception in 1995.
Over time we have established ourselves as a leading developer of family-friendly content culminating in the creation of the Tak and the Power of Juju property. Tak inspired a trilogy of video games and a TV series for Nickelodeon.
While working for Disney, Avalanche has created the video games for Disney's Chicken Little, Chicken Little: Ace in Action, Disney's: Meet the Robinson's, Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour. Currently Avalanche is developing the next Disney Feature Animation release titled Bolt, new intellectual properties, as well as yet to be named releases for Walt Disney Animation and Pixar.
