Position: Graphic Designer
Overall Accountability
At Rainmaker, our Graphic Designer is responsible for company wide creative services. The Graphic Designer creates design materials and elements for a variety of media, including print, web and broadcast. Working closely with the Director of Development (creative) and company executives, the Graphic Designer works on a range of projects and helps implement the studio’s creative vision and communicate to the outside entertainment industry. Our Graphic Designer has an impact on our overall studio brand. This is a key creative role in our studio and fundamental to achieving our objectives in 2010!
Duties
• Work on a wide scope of projects with glee. From the stuff you can do in your sleep to the stuff you can’t wait to jump out of bed for.
• Define and develop project objectives, implementing project milestones in conjunction with project stakeholders. Project, project, project….phew. For us the word project means things like company collateral materials/stationary, sales one sheets for our animated movies and specials, our internet site, keynote presentations, company branding initiatives…you get the idea.
• Participate in creative brainstorming, offering design solutions.
• Provide concept development, including graphic mood boards, developing photographic style and typographic treatment.
• Collaborate on show titles and credit designs.
• Produce conceptual storyboards, site grids, and interface demos to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Establish design standards in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop style guidelines to allow easy usage for other designers.
• Work with software developers, editors and other artists to ensure correct implementation of designs.
