Editorial Engineer

Description

- Assist in maintaining Avid systems hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot and repair Avid software and hardware problems, including Unity Server and client systems.
- Install new and field replacement hardware.
- Support for HD avid editing systems.
- Assist to maintain and troubleshoot equipment in scratch recording room including basic Protools support.
- Assist in supporting all peripherals and A/V equipment attached to editing systems - trouble shooting audio and video patchbays.
- Intermediate IP networking knowledge.
- After hours/weekend support will be required on occasion.
- Work with engineers, facilities and production members to integrate and maintain video, audio, computer, and control systems of new and existing editing and video conferencing systems. This includes ability to read schematics, building plans, and wiring diagrams.
- Monitor systems daily; technician emailed/paged if system goes down
