Position Title: Department Chair: Animation and Game Art
Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design seeks qualified applicants for the position of Animation/Game Art Department Chair. RMCAD is a private, premier art and design college in the heart of Denver. The college is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the Northcentral Association (HLC), and also accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD ), and offers BFA degrees in fine and applied arts. The Animation Department offers BFA degrees in 2D Animation, 3D Animation and Game Art. The Animation/Game Art Department Chair is a faculty position with administrative oversight of the 2D Animation, 3D Animation and Game Art programs. Responsibilities include teaching, oversight of the daily operations of the program as well as long-term strategic planning, scheduling, curriculum development, program assessment, and creation and maintenance of departmental documentation, to include accountability for compliance with accreditation and quality standards. In addition to administrative duties, there are expectations for teaching, service and scholarship/professional practice. RMCAD operates on a trimester schedule, and academic operations, including teaching and administrative operations, continue through the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
