Art Director

Description

The Art Director will play a central role in establishing and maintaining the artistic vision of the project with help from the visual development team. The ideal candidate will lead the art team from pre-production through project completion, implementing an artistic vision from preliminary concept to in-game realization. He/she will execute on an art style guide and inspire the other members of the team by setting clear goals and constantly thriving for excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the art team in establishing and implementing the art direction of the game.
• Work with producer and visual development team in establishing and managing the art style guide.
• Coordinate with technical art director and technical art team in order to develop appropriate art production pipelines and tools.
• Demonstrate, communicate, and exemplify clear expectations for quality of work, productivity and professionalism to the team.
• Prioritize art tasks to achieve the visual goals within the project timeframe in coordination with the development director.
• Establish appropriate guidelines for infrastructure of art team, including art leads, staff members, and contractors.
• Coordinate with outsourcing manager to establish clear guidelines for art direction with external groups.
