Lead XSI Rigger
Description
Lumenas Animation Studios is beginning production on our feature animation The Legend of Santa Claus. We are developing an XSI/Maya hybrid pipeline and we're really interested in a seasoned Lead character TD and riggers with experience in both software packages, but XSI rigging experience is crucial the crucial software. Our characters are being modeled in Maya and UV/textured in XSI. The rigs are being done in XSI. We are looking for riggers that have solid experience working with body and facial rigs and also have experience building rigs for both key-frame and mo-cap. It is expected that the riggers will stay throughout the course of the film with the possibility of long-term placement in the studio.
JOB DUTIES
•Building and setting up tools and procedures for modeling department (the layout of the wire mesh) to speed up character build process
•Work rig builders to produce custom built rigs for biped, quadrupeds, multiple limbs, multiple heads and wings
•Determine appropriate and required rigging setups for moving characters and occasionally props
•Trouble shoot rigs for potential problems/limits with a rig before transferring the character to Animation
• Implement rig fixes for a complex production pipeline
