Lead Designer

Description

Midway's Chicago studio is seeking a highly talented Lead Designer to collaborate with our design team in the creation of a new action game for next-generation consoles. We require an imaginative and creative thinker who can provide innovative solutions to design challenges, who is also the industry veteran with the know-how to drive them to polished completion. If you’re a hands-on individual with strong leadership skills, technical background, and are confident you can motivate your team to address challenges and implement solutions, we look forward to hearing from you!

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leading a team of up to 5 designers in the conception and implementation of all game features, including sub-leads.
• Providing direction to the team in the creation of innovative game mechanics and an engaging player experience.
• Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the art, tech and audio team members.
• Architecting the creation of all design documentation.
• Generation of schedules for design team members.
• Hiring of new design team members.
• Working closely with the Executive Producer and projects Creative Director on the quality, focus and scope of the game over the course of development.
• Hands-on prototyping of game content during concept development phase.
