Systems Program Manager
Description
The Marketing Communications (Marcom) Systems Program Manager is primarily responsible for leading the definition and development of Apple’s internal digital asset management (DAM) system. In this highly visible role, the development manager is the focal point for worldwide users on matters related to functionality and development of Marcom Systems. He/she is responsible for assuring that systems meet current business needs and driving requirements to assure future needs are met. This marketing role serves as the primary interface with the development team in Apple’s IS&T organization, partnering with them to create systems and solutions which meets Marcom needs.
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies, directs, and documents complex business requirements for Marcom Systems development projects to deliver the most cost effective and innovative solutions.
Coordinates all software development activities (including enhancements and major releases) directly and independently with system users, IT professionals and developers.
Works directly with the technical team to manage and execute a development plan.
Coordinates all facets of new system releases and implementation planning (user testing, training plans, materials and documentation) across the Apple Marcom community worldwide.
Provides on-going training and usability support to all worldwide clients to assure defined best practices are applied worldwide.
Researches external best practices and emerging technologies for possible incorporation into Apple Marcom Systems.
Identifies and defines technical issues requiring immediate/longer term escalation to the technical development team.
Ensures design consistency across applications and as well as adherence to Apple style guidelines and standards. Manages the creation of visual designs for technical team to address product, marketing and business needs.
