Software Engineer - Lighting Tool

DreamWorks Animation is looking for an experienced software engineer to join our lighting and surfacing tools team. Our major long term project is the development of our next generation lighting tool. This effort seeks to maximize lighter efficiency through design and implementation of intuitive user interfaces and effective underlying systems. The goal is to provide artists with technology that empowers their craft while minimizing their need to know underlying technical details.

The engineer will interact closely with lighters and technical users to help establish the direction for these tools. Ongoing responsibilities include maintaining existing tools and supporting artists in production. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a passion for great design are essential.
