Production Coordinator - Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Description
The Production Coordinator reports to the Production Manager. He/She will provide coordination support to the CG series production department.
* Ensure that the department is following the production schedule. Report daily and weekly to the PM and AP on the current status of the department and develop plans with department heads to achieve production goals.
* Create and manage departmental schedules for all the artists within the department. Track each artist’s individual performance from week to week and the overall performance of the department.
* Ensure crew is aware of deadlines and have all necessary information or materials in order to achieve deadlines
* Communicate daily between partner studios on any and all issues affecting the department’s productivity or workflow.
* Submit, receive and track deliveries to and from other departments internally or externally. Insure all materials are distributed correctly.
* Coordinate timing of the completion of work to coincide with the production timelines of other departments along the production pipeline.
* Create, receive notes and distribute notes to the artists and track completion of said notes.
* Track show progress utilizing the proprietary tracking system of Lucasfilm Animation. Offer input to the further development of the tracking system where necessary.
* Report weekly production approvals, following predetermined report formats, to the PM and AP.
* Notify the PM and AP of any performance issues within the team and be involved in the resolution of those performance issues in partnership with the leads of the department and the PM/AP.
* Work with the PM and department leads to evaluate and assess all future episodes in terms of complexity, production issues and production planning. Identify and break out production elements per the respective department.
* Schedule and attend meetings as necessary. Take minutes from those meetings and distribute to the appropriate parties.
* Work with department leads to make sure that new artists receive proper training in the Lucasfilm workflow and evaluate with the leads the ongoing training needs of current artists.
* Review and pre-approve all vacation/time off requests in concurrence with the production schedule, leads, PM and AP. Submit all requests to PM/AP for final approval.
* Assist or cover for PA, fellow coordinators, PM and AP where necessary in their respective duties.
* Completes special projects as needed or requested.
