Responsibilities:
1. Guide large multi-disciplinary teams in the achievement of either technical or non-technical project objectives.
• Facilitate team information and work flow, typically between technical / product development and non-technical / publishing units of the company, in regular processes or on special projects.
• Help remove barriers to timely and cost effective process / project completion.
• Share budget, schedule, milestone and cost / benefit decision-making responsibilities within larger, more complex or strategic processes / projects.
• Serve as a resource to other project managers and line managers, assisting in the mediation and resolution of complex problems or leading larger projects.
• Coordinate and track process / project resources, staff, assets and schedules to ensure timely outcomes. Plan the resources, budget and milestone dates in order to hit ship and quality targets.
• Prioritize project goals and deliverables according to the strategic vision of the studio.
2. Develop business awareness. This would include:
• Capturing and recommending best development practices and approaches within context of business deadlines and priorities.
• Working with financial management to understand the implications of projects. Take the organization's budgetary cycle into account when developing project schedules and development plans.
• Analyze and anticipate project risk and drive mitigation strategies.
