Head of Research & Innovation (Associate Dean)

The position is based in Abu Dhabi and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Formulate goals, objectives and priorities in the preparation of plans and budgets for the effective and efficient implementation of the Centre
• Confer and establish alliances with industry, research partners and the wider community
• Supervise the overall centre operation to ensure it fulfills its requirements and aligns with institutional priorities
• Implement the functions and processes associated with the delivery, monitoring and assessment of research and innovation to the relevant quality standards
• Network with enterprise, community and the HCT system in the development, evaluation and review of research and innovation to encompass student, industry and the scientific/technical community needs
• Participate in the recruitment of staff, manages the evaluation, monitoring and development of faculty and staff
• Administer human and physical resources to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness in delivery
• Assist in the preparation of research and innovation proposals
• Implement effective research and innovation management strategies and record systems to address knowledge management, Intellectual Property, ethics and conduct
