Multimedia Specialist

NC State University, Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA), is seeking a Multimedia Specialist.

The Multimedia Specialist will be part of Instructional Support Services (ISS). The ISS team collaborates with faculty and staff to design and develop effective technology-rich learning materials, courses and programs for online education. The Multimedia Specialist will work within a team of instructional designers, multimedia designers and web developers as well as other university personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop course web sites, web templates, and graphics for online instruction, marketing initiatives and infrastructure.
• Create and/or assist in the production of supporting media such as web graphics, animation, print, and video content for online instruction.
• Develop reusable multimedia objects to support teaching and learning with technology.
• Consult with faculty and staff on the instructional application of multimedia technologies and techniques.
• Keep abreast of emerging multimedia technologies

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in DELTA training and support activities (teach a workshop, consult with faculty and staff in area of expertise, etc.)
