- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Located in Bellevue, Washington, ArenaNet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Korea-based NCsoft Corporation. Currently, ArenaNet is busy developing Guild Wars 2 while continuing to support Guild Wars with additional content such as the upcoming Bonus Mission Pack, holiday events, community contests, monthly championships, and soon-to-be-released merchandise.
The Senior Interactive Designer candidate must be a stand-out in the field. He/she will work hand in hand with the Creative Director to solve unique interface problems and create rich experiences for multiple titles and the web. The Senior Interactive Designer is involved from the conceptual phase through development, working to define the experience, create motion studies, interactive prototypes, and overall visual design.

- Responsibilities
* Combine design theory, content hierarchy, navigational structure, and usability to create powerful and immersive user experiences in-game and on the web
* Collaborate with Lead Game Designers, Art Directors, and Creative Director to ensure designs are consistent with overall expectations and project goals
* Identify, address, and work within project schedules and deadlines
* Solve problems as they relate to interface design
* Develop new concepts, strategies, and innovative approaches
* Translate concepts into engaging, functional, and usable user interface designs
Required Skills and Experience
* BFA in Graphic Design is preferred, with 5+ years design experience at a design agency or equivalent
* Good understanding of design fundamentals, layout, and typography
* Proven skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, and Flash
* Solid understanding of HTML, DHTML, XML a plus
* A portfolio with examples of work is required for consideration
