Miller and Doug Mitchell have partnered
with Omnilab Media Group in creating a
boldly significant Australian digital
media company, Dr. D Studios. We are currently working on Happy Feet 2 with several other film projects to follow.
POSITION SUMMARY
Create cinematic previsualisation of shots and sequences for use in the Story Reel.
Create cameras and character blocking for use in the feature film.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CREATIVE
Provide creative input on the cinematic design of shots and sequences
Create cgi shots and sequences through previsualisation and editorial.
Work with the 3D Visual Development team on incorporating Art Direction into story reel process.
TECHNICAL
Import and work with audio, storyboard, motion capture and editorial reference material
Ensure integrity and clarity of shot and scene assets before they are put into production.
Output camera, environment and character assets and reference files
OPERATIONAL
Liase with Production Management in regards to tasks and schedules.
- Requirements:
- REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Creative skills in the story reel filmmaking processes
Skills with Maya software
- Desired Skills and Pluses:
- DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Basic compositing skills
Creative skills in digital filmmaking processes outside of Story Unit (eg. VFX/lighting/compositing)
Ability to draw
