MFA Instructor (Media Arts & Animation)

Description

The Art Institute of California – San Francisco is looking for part time instructors for its’ MFA Computer Animation program. Qualified candidates must have a MFA degree or its equivalent, in animation or a related field. A strong portfolio and industry knowledge and experience is desirable. College-level teaching experience is desirable but not required. Independent Animators will also be considered with a MFA degree or its equivalent.

We have an immediate opening for applicants with the following specialties:

• 3D Modeling
• 3D Texture & Lighting
• 3D Compositing & Render

We are also someone looking for applicants for the future with the following specialties as well as 3D generalists.

• 2D Animation with Flash or Toon Boom
• 3D Facial Modeling and Rigging
• 3D Character Technical Direction
• 3D Character Animation
• 3D Hard Surface & Organic Modeling
• 3D Lighting, Texture & Render
• 3D Rigging
• 3D Camera Techniques
• 3D Procedural Animation
• 3D Special Effects

All 3D classes are taught in Maya.
