Sr. Environment Artist
Description
The leaves of grass, the snowflakes, the buildings and crates, piles of rubble… you know what we are looking for… We are looking for a well rounded environment artist with the ability to make organic and architectural assets with a good sense of composition, color and design, all the while maintaining the quality and artistic consistency of the work. It’s a lot we know –but we also think you are up for it! We are looking for someone who sets an example to the team and who will help implement new production methods to improve performance and efficiency.
What we are looking for you to do:
• Works closely with the design team to construct level layout roughs
• Participates in the planning of project environments
• Maintains consistent aesthetic and technical quality in all environments
• Other duties may be assigned
Responsible for overseeing and/or creating the following environment art components:
• Design roughs
• Visual prototype levels
• Technology test levels
• Low detail (layout) geometry
• Medium detail (asset) geometry
• High detail (normal map generation) geometry
• Instance placement and organization
• UV setups
• Texture maps
• Surfaces
Since this is a senior position we will look to you to assist with the training of team members, problem solving and you may schedule/guide a small team of artists.
