Walt Disney Animation Studios has been combining the best in artistry and storytelling with cutting-edge technology to bring wonderful new characters and adventures to the big screen for audiences around the world. Constantly challenged to create innovative new technologies for animated features, theme park productions and special projects for the Walt Disney Company, Disney Animation is home to some of the most talented artists working in the film industry today.
Our return to traditional animation, The Princess and the Frog, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker releases in 2009. Also in production, Rapunzel, directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, and King of the Elves, directed by Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker.
The Talent Development Artist Program:
Join us for an opportunity to experience the art of animation and be a part of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Our filmmaker-driven studio inspires a multi-discipline team to explore and innovate traditional animation and CG films, shorts and special projects. Opportunities are available for graduates of art and animation, fine art and design, computer graphics, engineering, production and general film studies programs.
The Talent Development Artist Program is available for recent graduates of undergraduate or graduate programs (within three years of graduation date) for a 3 or 6 month paid position at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Talent Development Artist Program offers a chance to understand the depth of your new skills, refine and strengthen key areas, and apply your talents in our real world environment. Under the guidance of a Disney Mentor you will be immersed in our world of art and technology while being trained on production work-flows and tools.
The next session will begin in September! We will have opportunities for Story Artists to join the program. All positions are based in our Burbank, California studios.
