Marketing Director

EZD Productions is looking for a Marketing Director to devise a Marketing and Public Relations strategy for the next-gen virtual world we are creating.


Position:

The EZD Productions Marketing Director will be responsible for instigating strategic buzz amplification and fan activation for our virtual world experience.

The Marketing Director is an expert in the use of forums, online social networks, social bookmarking, user-generated content sites and blogs to effectively reach fans of, community driven experience.

The Marketing Director will lead multiple campaigns and oversee team efforts managing guerilla and word of mouth/seeded marketing tactics.

Ideal candidates should not only be aware of social media but should be an active consumer of it - understanding consumer usage, community participation patterns, and nuances associated - and have a strong understanding of popular culture and current technology. Media outlets the candidate should understand include:

Online gaming
Microblogs
Social networking
Wikis
Social bookmarking
Social news sites
Opinion sites
Photo sharing
Video sharing
Livecasting
Podcasting
Virtual worlds

This role requires the candidate to be an experienced manager who is able to think strategically, apply creative solutions and manage multi-faceted, multi phase campaigns.

The Director is a proven leader who is detail oriented, Internet savvy, and will bring structure and organization to their work.

Overall Role & Responsibilities
The Marketing Director reports to the President and will be responsible for the following:

Lead strategy to identify best outlets for marketing campaigns
that will drive traffic to our world and turn them into customers.

Oversee grassroots messaging and content placement on media outlets such as: blogs, message boards, social networks, video upload hubs, etc.

Manage external constituent relationshipsto establish loyalty and create engagement with audience.

Lead efforts to maximize efficiencies, establish best practices, and provide insight to other departments.

Develop integrated marketing plans, and analyze results for effectiveness.

Generate new media marketing programs for user acquisition.

You will be working in our new San Francisco Bay Area office, which will be located in either SF, Emeryville, or Walnut Creek.
