Sr Integrated Art Director
Description
The Senior Art Director is responsible for working with Copywriters to develop and execute advertising for the company and its clients. This includes contributing to marketing strategy, concepting, designing, hiring and supervising vendors and ensuring the final products meet agency standards.
Daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
Concepting
• Working with copywriter partner or various agency writers to develop award winning creative & conceptual ideas based on the approved strategy & budgets
• Staying current with the creative landscape & new technologies available
Execution
• Demonstrating solid skills and ability to create unique and appropriate look for advertising projects including rich media online banners, websites, emails, direct mail, out of home, events, mobile advertising, outdoor, print ads, radio, TV spots, collateral, in store POS, new media and beyond
• Creating all digital work, rich media advertising, website, mobile comps as tight layered photoshop files
• Creating all print, outdoor, direct mail comps as tight InDesign files (primary). On occasion we may require quark files by special request only
Presentations
• Demonstrating passion and being comfortable when making internal agency and client presentations of your work
Hiring/Supervising Vendors
• Keeping up to date on the best sources for digital illustration, photography, type design, music, animation, video etc.
• Hiring the appropriate vendors and directing them to complete the job effectively and punctually
• Combining the specialized talents of vendors with your own abilities to produce creative materials that go beyond one individual’s limitations
Quality Control
• Overseeing production to ensure mechanicals or final assets are built to graphic standards proved by production, then sharing and getting approval on those assets from your GCD supervisor
• Ensuring all files are prepared to agency standards with respect to color, file sizes and live areas
