Established in 2006, ImageMovers Digital is a motion picture studio in Marin County devoted to the performance capture films of Academy Award-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis. We currently employ over 400 employees and continue to search for talented individuals to join our company. We are currently in production on the feature film “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts of Christmas.

Production Engineering TD

A Production Engineering Technical Director is responsible for working on development projects, and the implementation and use of production and pipeline-related tools and solutions. Initial emphasis will be the creation of foundational tools to establish studio functionality. This position requires collaboration with our engineering staff, project managers, and production users to develop and implement mission critical studio capabilities.


Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for development and implementation of production and studio tools under the guidance of a departmental lead
• Works directly with production engineers/production artists and technicians to identify and solve technical challenges, and to debug high priority issues
• Detailed problem analysis, and the ability to communicate those findings and solutions to a department head
• Program and design high quality, robust, and easy to maintain code and tools
• Work effectively with a team of Production Engineers, Software Engineers, managers and digital artists in designing and implementing world-class software solutions and tools for digital film production
