Sony PlayStation: Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a candidate to manage multiple internal or external development programs, communications of overall program, process changes, documentation and software releases with developers in the US, Europe, and Japan, and internally with upper management, PDIT, FPQA, Legal, Marketing, etc.
Coordinate consolidation and distribution of project/program information. Inputs, reviews and validates all required project and status data into PMO repository, tools, etc. Identifies project risks, reviews and obtains agreement with local stakeholders and monitors progress.
Overview:
Duties to be carried out in order to achieve a successful project completion include:
• Create the Project Plan, which includes a Project Scope Statement, Work Breakdown Structure, Schedule, Communication Plan and Risk Management Plan.
• Track progress of the project, compare to original plan, work with team to take corrective action if the project is not tracking to plan and regularly communicate status to project stakeholders.
• Actively execute the Project Plan including managing project scope, completion of tasks, anticipating and managing project risks and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer's satisfaction on time and within budget.
• Close-out the project by delivering all agreed upon deliverables, conduct a Project Retrospective, document Lessons Learned and communicate them to the appropriate audience within Global Platform and SCE-RT.
• Proactively manages the needs and issues of the customer and team.
• Uses industry and institutional knowledge to positively influence other team members and role model best practices within the organization.
