JOB OPENING: FX Lead
LOCATION: Venice, California

Summary
The Lead FX Artist will lead a team of FX artists to design, create and implement environmental effects, which can include environmental elements such as fire, smoke, and water to be used in Feature Films.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead an FX crew to deliver per the productions goals and expectations
· Design and create images, elements and effects
· Assist with coding and providing support and documentation for tools created
· Solid understanding of Houdini and hscripts
· Develop FX systems and use previously developed FX Systems
· Work with a range of departments to achieve goals
· Strong understanding of Animation and how things should look, feel and move
· Multi-task on multiple shots and be willing to answer questions and mentor other artists
· Stay informed of current technologies and attempt to implement them effectively
