Character Rigger/ Technical Artist
Description
As part of the Character team, the Character Rigger/Technical Artist is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and support of the characters rigging, which includes binding, bone, blend shapes, facial setups, and the creation of support tools and scripts for the animation team. The Character Rigger/Technical Artist reports to the Animation Director, working closely with Animators, Designers, Programmers, and all members of the rigging team. The Character Rigger/Technical Artist acts as a liaison between animation and other studio departments regarding all aspects of character engineering, taking the requests of animators and translating those needs to the design team and programmers in an informed manner.
