Web Artist II

Description

Sony Online Entertainment is looking for a highly creative and adept Web Artist to join our Seattle and San Diego studios in the Web Presence department. We are looking for someone who has experience in many aspects of web design including wireframes, layout, style and presentation using tools such as Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver.

The Web Presence department is responsible for the look and feel of SOE’s web sites, including Station.com, individual property sites and its extensions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs and maintains cutting edge, state-of-the-art web pages that support, attract, retain and monetize players for our world-class online games.
• Assesses competitor web sites; specifically for style, presentation, usability, and layout.
• Works with developers through site launch to ensure artwork is preserved, and requests any changes required prior to launch.
• Reassesses web sites for usability, clarity, ease of use and value.
• Maintains art such as features, header artwork, ad creative and any other web art-pieces.
• Interact on a professional level with all levels of internal customers, including Brand Managers, Game Teams and Community Relations.
• Keep abreast of web technology sufficient to understand how the technology is best utilized to market cutting-edge, world-class online games.
• Localizes artwork using translated copy; also maintains art text logs for Content team.
• Other related design duties as assigned.
