First Party Relations Manager
Description
Midway is looking for a 1st Party Relations Manager to work from either our Chicago or San Diego studios. As part of our Marketing department the 1st Party Relations Manager globally represents Midway whilst successfully managing Midway’s working relationship with 1st party publishers. The 1st party publishers are defined as Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment. The 1st Party Relations Manager is also the primary communication hub between the global marketing team and the Midway internal submissions team.
The 1st Party Relations Manager interacts on a high professional level and communicates surrounding complex production processes. The 1st Party Relations Manager implements co-marketing initiatives, promotional tactics and various other marketing opportunities in conjunction with 1st party publishers, including the planning of our promotional DLC, generating DLC revenue and sales of our properties through Xbox Live! Arcade, Nintendo Channel and Playstation Home. The 1st Party Relations Manager supports the strategic planning for each brand as set by the Global BM’s and ensures marketing tactical execution within the 1st party channels. The 1st Party Relations Manager is the primary point of contact for the marketing organization regarding the Production Process, covering code submissions, age ratings and 1st party processes and regularly interacts internally with Submissions, Creative Services and Logistics. The 1st Party Relations Manager is accountable for achieving or exceeding goals and defined objectives and operates within the context of the strategies and overall plans of the function.
Detailed Responsibilities
Marketing / Consumer Results
• Responsible for submitting, coordinating and successfully close the Ad Certification process with 1st Party for each of our titles.
• Thrives to maximize co-marketing opportunities with 1st party publishers.
• Initiates and executes possible Hard/Soft bundles with gaming consoles.
• Ensures placement on and asset distribution to 1st party marketing channels both online and offline
• Pro actively seeks new ways to improve the marketing relationship between Midway and 1st party.
• Responsible for overseeing and communicating around demo uploads and reporting on demo performance.
• Reports weekly on hardware sales, tracking results of downloadable content and DLC sales, marketing opportunities and recent wins.
• Analyses the online market space and advises senior management on a quarterly basis.
Communication
• Evangelizes Midway brands with 1st Party’s. Communicates to convince and influence important decision makers.
• Responsible for successfully communicating progress and updates in the submission process within the marketing department.
• The 1st Party Relations Manager is always abreast of the production process and latest game builds.
• The 1st Party Relations Manager is always abreast of the advertising guidelines tied to age ratings and advises the Brand Managers accordingly.
• 1st Party Relations Manager is the primary point of contact for 1st party publishers, meaning all primary communication will be tunneled through 1st Party Relations Manager.
• 1st Party Relations controls the internal distribution and testing of game codes
• Provides minutes of meetings with key partners, defined as 1st Party’s.
