Responsibilities:
1.Design or Assist in the Creative Game Design of one or more products in all areas to include:
• Establishing, maintaining, and guiding the creative design of one or more games and relaying that vision to the internal and external members of the development team.
• Scheduling and managing the other designers assigned to his/her specific game(s) and collaborating with the lead programmer, art director, lead artist and producer during the product development cycle.
• Maintaining the game design vision during all phases of the product development cycle from concept through implementation.
• Producing gameplay content in the game production phase of one or more products.
• Creating cutting edge gameplay utilizing cinematic camera implementation - using rail, fixed, follow and other types of cameras.
• Designing any element of one or more assigned games.
2. Manage one or more Designers and Jr. Designers. This would include:
• Performance Reviews
• Career coaching and long-term planning
• Skill improvement and training
• Providing guidance and information to assist in the resolution of complex problems.
3. Contribute to current and future Product Development needs. This contribution would include:
• Reviewing and evaluating product concepts and designs for acquisition.
• Reviewing and evaluating competitive products.
• Creating and presenting new game concepts for development as needed.
• Assisting the Creative Director(s) in identifying and creating techniques, structures and tools used to guide and encourage the evolution of game design within the studio.
• Maintaining and enhancing creative relationships with inside and outside developers.
