ImageMovers Digital is a new motion picture studio in Marin County devoted to the performance capture films of Academy Award-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis. Established in 2006, we currently employ over 200 employees and continue to search for talented individuals to join our company. We are currently in production on the new performance capture feature “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts.

Look Development TD
This position works to create final look developed assets and lighting setups for distribution into the ImageMovers Digital production pipeline. The TD will collaborate with the look dev team and Surfacing Technical Supervisor to help define all of the technical aspects needed to create the appearance of a 3D element. He or she will be required to write and/or modify custom Renderman shaders, define standard render passes, and work closely with Lead Lighting TD's and supervisors to ensure that all assets work within the scope of lighting & color pipeline requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with the shader development group in order to ensure all necessary parameters and functionality are included in production shaders.
• Work closely with texture artists to create necessary texture maps for application to creatures, props and environments
• Tasked with modifying shader parameters to realize the desired look for production integration.
• Assist in developing standard lighting rigs & setups for verifying aspects of look development.
• Work with a team of artists in a hands-on capacity to ensure technically and artistically proper implementation of look developed assets
• Keep supervisors apprised of issues arising in pre-production and shot production and offer creative solutions to those issues.
