Associate Producer

We are currently looking for an Associate Producer to join the Game Development team. This individual will be responsible for helping the Senior Producer to manage their studio and all projects allocated to the studio from concept to completion. The selected candidate will work with the internal development team and the development support groups to provide and maintain the creative vision of the product. In addition working collaboratively with the company (marketing, sales and other product development groups) and licensor to meet or exceed expectations of the product and delivering milestones promptly.

More specifically:

Works with the Senior Producer to manage all aspects of a studio’s product development by:
• Defining assignments and tasks
• Providing the Senior Producer with timely, accurate status reports
• Maintaining effective communication with team members, Producers, Senior Producers and other staff
• Identifying future problems and working to avoid them
• Conducting regular planning and review sessions with appropriate team members
• Delivering on-time products that meet contractual obligations
• Supporting the product’s marketing efforts as required
• Ensuring a stable gaming product is submitted to the QA process.

Directs the game development within their studio by:
• Wholly responsible for project schedules and the timely delivery of a high quality product.
• Working with the Studio Leads to evaluate feature, schedule, and resource trade-offs.
• Making informed long-term decisions where changes in the game or technical specifications are required / proposed.
• Reviewing the game with quality and consistency in mind and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensuring product documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Performing regular product reviews on target hardware.
• Ensuring game designs and final shipped product reflect current market trends and meet customer expectations via regular internal review and external market research.

Coordinates the implementation plan for the game and technical designs by:
• Working with the studio leads to develop requirements and scope for each project.
• Working with the senior producer to find creative solutions when problems arise.
• Working with other producers to collaborate on development efforts and discuss common issues.
• Develop, maintain and communicate studio production schedules and external resource dependencies.

Constantly review to confirm that the appropriate precedence is being set.
• Ensuring that all team members receive regular reviews from their leads.
• Having regular one-on-one listening sessions with team members.
• Proactively evaluating team members to identify areas of growth.

Qualifications Required Experience
• Degree in related discipline highly regarded
• 3+ years in the software development industry
• Proven track record of delivering original software products (ideally entertainment software) from start to finish as Producer/Project Lead.
• Thorough knowledge of project tracking tools such as Microsoft Excel and Project
