Senior Backend/Ops Engineer

Bit Fry Games Studio is an independent developer and publisher of video games for all major platforms.  The company’s current focus is on the development and release of its first franchise — a multi-sport, arcade-action sports platform featuring competitive online multiplayer action.  Bit Fry’s team is composed of technology, gaming, and entertainment veterans who are intent on disrupting the current sports video game landscape. 

 

 

What you will be doing: 

 

• Lead and discuss backend architectural decisions
• Deploy and scale our backend services in AWS
• Implement data and server security
• Support microservices to provide APIs for games
• Maintain compliance with GDPR, COPPA, CCPA, etc. 

Required

• 5+ years of experience in scalable backend development
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience designing and building backend systems
• Proficiency in JS (ES2015+) or C++
• Experience with Docker 

Preferred 

• 10+ years of experience in scalable backend development • Strong interest in security and privacy • Self-driven individual who likes finding ways to help the team, improve the codebase, and learn
