Description
Overall, the position
of Solving Artist is expected to partner with SCEA to provide the
highest quality solving/retargeting results for all projects using Blade or
Cortex and to collaborate with the Motion Capture and Motion Edit departments
to determine optimal approaches to solving for all projects.

Ensure and achieve the highest level
of quality of all work in regards to performance quality, technical setup,
technical approach and the project schedule
·
Uphold all project deadlines,
working with project managers and producers to ensure work is completed on
schedule
·
Collaborate with the Motion Capture
department to understand the latest acquisition processes, discuss streamlining
techniques, and study the effects and benefits of all acquisition decisions
·
Collaborate with the Motion Edit,
Animation, Technical Animation Production Support and Engineering departments
to understand the technical delivery standards expected from the client and
other departments
·
Document and maintain up-to-date
processes for the solving team, as well as current and future contingent staff
Qualifications
·
Thorough understanding of the
solving process: character setup, actor setup, retargeting, and performance
evaluation
·
Expert knowledge of Cortex or Blade is
required. Intermediate+ knowledge of MotionBuilder is required.
·
Must have a trained eye for
performance, and provide artistic and technical feedback to contribute to the
expected quality output of the department
·
Proper time management,
communication and understanding of priorities, deadlines and schedule
Required
Experience / Education:
·
At least 6 years of experience
in the entertainment industry, including video game, film and television production
·
Experience in the production of
motion capture projects
Preferred Experience
/ Education:
·
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
