Mobile Software Engineer – Autodesk Games Solutions

We are looking for an experienced mobile software engineer to join our team and help shape our mobile development across multiple platforms. We are looking for a passionate developer and engineer with experience in mobile OS APIs and hardware characteristics. The ideal applicant should leverage new tools and technologies and is focused on programming compelling mobile tools, engines and applications.



As a mobile software engineer you'll utilize your extensive knowledge of iOS and Android, including application development techniques, HW capabilities and best practices. You love working with Android, iOS and Windows mobile platforms and have experience working on shipping mobile applications and/or native software libraries. Of all of the above listed mobile platforms, knowledge of Android is the most important. Familiarity with popular mobile graphics tools, development tools and environments, game engines, eco-systems and back-end services is highly desired as well.



Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of mobile software libraries, tools and applications.
- Be the ‘go-to’ person for running our software as well as external software on mobile platforms, especially Android, including assisting with development, deployment, debugging and profiling.
- Work closely with designers, artists and other developers to expand and tune our product offering for the mobile arena.
- Interface with internal/external mobile development teams from a technical and design perspective.
- Maintain code quality across multiple mobile software development environments.
- Profile and help optimize the code to get the best possible performance across various devices.



Qualifications
- Experience with mobile software development across multiple platforms, especially Android.
- Knowledge of languages used in mobile SW development, with the ability to quickly pick up new languages.
- Prior mobile app development experience including publishing to App stores.
- Experience with multiple mobile SDKs and comfort working across different platforms.
- Strong knowledge of C++, comfortable with Java and Objective C.
- Ability to self-start and self-manage on projects.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent debugging, optimization and profiling skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience
