Starting with our first game, Blood through to our most recent title, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor which has been awarded with numerous Game of the Year Awards, including Gamespot, Joystiq and IGN as well as Best Action/Adventure Game at the 2014 Game Awards.

Monolith Productions seeks a Quality Assurance Lead
to join our team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for overseeing
the quality assurance effort for the entitle title. The QA Lead works closely
with the production team, development team, peers and testers to create a
complete testing process. In addition
the QA Lead is a QA leadership role, where the QA Lead is responsible for
mentoring, stewarding, and supervising the QAA and Sr. QAA personnel assigned to
the QA Lead’s project.
This position may require temporary relocation (6 months or less) to Montreal.
Job Responsibilities

|
-Oversee’s
the creation and maintenance of project test cases, test suites, test
schedule, and other documentation needed for the successful testing of our
game
|
|
-Mentor
and evaluate performance of Sr QAA and QAA team members
|
|
-Communicates
with development and production teams to provide timely and accurate updates
related to the project and immediately escalates critical issues to
appropriate stakeholders. Provides
feedback to production and development on the state of the game via issues
reported in bug-tracking software, timely project status updates, and via
e-mail and face-to-face interactions while working with QA Manager.

-Participates
in and oversees the efforts of team members participating in both internal
and external product demonstrations, including but not limited to: Internal press reviews, trade shows,
industry conferences, and other locations determined by the needs of the
project.

-Enforces
testing policies, procedures and standards.
|
|
-Manages
day-to-day activity in the issue tracking database, including routing issues,
providing feedback to testers on the quality of their bug write-ups,
anticipating usage issues and making recommendations for inclusions/updates
to the database administrator, and performing end-of-project triage.

-Performs
other tasks at the discretion of Production or the Development QA Manager
|
|
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Work Experience
· 2
years in a software QA Leadership position
· 5
years in software quality assurance, some of which in games desired
· Must have participated in all phases of
full-cycle game development and shipped multiple titles
· Experience working within Development Team
desired
· Experience interfacing with Publishing or
Outsource QA desired
· Managed QA teams of 5 or more people
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or
Certification
· High School diploma or equivalent work experience,
college degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills
· Strong
leadership capabilities including communication, interpersonal skills, planning
and execution oversight
· Able
to direct others and communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of internal
and external team members (engineering, artists, designers, producers,
publishing QA, management, etc)
· Must
be self-motivated and results oriented, able to balance large volumes of work
across assigned staff.
· Lead
should possess a combination of strong critical thinking skills and sound
judgment to independently handle issues related to their work
· Has
expert knowledge of the product development cycle (overall organization,
processes and workflows)
· Created
all QA documentation, including test plans, test suites, and any other
necessary QA documents for game development projects.
· The
ability to accurately troubleshoot and identify software and hardware problems
and describe the issue to others in a clear and concise manner.
· Experience
with bug tracking and source control system
· Experience
with test case tracking systems
· Knowledge of certification standards
for Microsoft (TCR compliance), Sony (TRC compliance), or Nintendo (Lot Check)
· Knowledge of video game development industry
Other Requirements
· A
flexible work schedule and willingness to work long hours when necessary.
· Some
travel required. Passport Eligibility Required.
