Position Description:

The Senior Pipeline Technical Director is responsible primarily to develop and maintain the TBE pipeline.
The collective goal is to generate exciting visuals using powerful and efficient tools and workflows.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design systems, maintain existing tools, and support artists and Show Technical Director in their production tasks
• Troubleshoot creative and technical issues.
• Support and work with multiple production departments including Layout, Previz, Animation, Fx and CFx.
• Maintain a high degree of quality, attention to detail, and level of communication while designing and implementing solutions within the existing pipeline.
• Remain abreast of new and emerging technologies and attempt to implement them effectively.
• Ensure that all software development follows studio policies and guidelines.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python and C++ and UI development experience with PyQt4/PySide.
• Advance user and developer knowledge of Maya and Houdini; also 3Delight/Renderman, Yeti.
• Production experience with artist tool development and tools integration.
• Knowledgeable in mercurial, svn, shotgun and postgreSQL database
• Experience in writing code that interacts with Maya C++ API or Houdini’s HDK, Familiarity with the Alembic, Cortex and OpenVdb data formats.
• Exceptional communication, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
• 5 years or more Production experience in computer animation, visual effects or game development.

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 - Based on experience
