Packaging Designer

Description

We are seeking a Packaging Designer to create innovative and creative packaging that complements and enhances our product lines.  This person will be responsible for executing design and copy work for our product packaging.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.  He/She will also enjoy collaborative and iterative process that is necessary for high quality creative execution. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Packaging Director and the rest of the packaging team to execute on packaging concepts for product lines
• Design with an eye for creating high quality packaging that effectively highlights product and drives consumer appeal
• Maintain consistent brand identity within individual product lines
• Work with the Creative Director, Packaging team, Brand and Product Development to review all copy and design elements
• Create accurate and comprehensive layouts; with a high level of attention to detail
• Be able to manage multiple tasks and have strong time management and prioritization skills
• Posess excellent logo, layout and typography skills 

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant packaging design experience for retail consumer products
• Undergraduate degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
• An incredible eye for quality and attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible in design and creative implementation; desire to work on creatively unique and varied product lines
• Deliver a hands on approach to solving problems and working with others
• Possess a positive attitude and desire to pitch in when and where needed
• Strong level of initiative and self-motivation
• Proficient in Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator; InDesign knowledge desired
