Description
Animal Logic, an
award winning animation, visual effects and design studio is coming to
Vancouver!
We need an
experienced, organised and energetic Project Manager who can help us physically
establish the Animal Logic facility in Yaletown, Vancouver.
You will
work with the Head of Studio Operations for a 12 month period to ensure that
the establishment, setup and staged move of our office is as smooth and
seamless as possible. We have a great location locked in but there is a lot
more to be done!
This
position reports to the Head of Studio Operations, Vancouver.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing
a project plan for establishing, moving in and growing the Vancouver office, as
access to building and floors will be in phases
- Liaising
with external parties, including local authorities, suppliers and tradespeople
to ensure the office setup exceeds quality expectations, is within budget and
meets all required obligations
- Being hands on in supporting what is required
in relation to the set up of the office – eg booking travel, sourcing
accommodation options for travelling staff, sourcing furniture provider
options, coordinating service providers (electricians, builders)
- Utilising
appropriate project management methodology and tools to run the project
- Providing
regular reports on progress and escalating issues as required to the Head of
Studio Operations
- Support
defining and managing the budget with the Head of Studio Operations and conduct
all activities with financial awareness, and where relevant make
recommendations for improvements and changes to the Head of Studio Operations
- Undertaking
other activities relevant to the role and project to support the delivery and
implementation of this significant project
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 5
years’ experience in managing large scale projects and
specifically office establishment and/or relocation for small to medium
companies
- Experience working with local and
international external suppliers/providers to successfully setup or relocate an
office/company
- Proven ability to work on complex projects with multiple
stakeholders within a tight timeframe
- Excellent project management, time management, communication,
problem solving, attention to detail, decision-making, negotiation and
influencing skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management/relocation
services software
