Senior Technical Artist - World of Warcraft
Description
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a top-notch senior technical
artist to work on its award-winning massively multiplayer online game,
World of Warcraft. You must have experience creating rigs and tools for
animators to work with for a diverse visual range of characters,
creatures, and props. A solid grasp of Maya and 3ds Max knowledge is
essential. You must also be skilled in creating tools using MEL or
MaxScript and be well-versed in the process of animation creation and
animation techniques.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in game development rigging characters or creatures
- Extensive Maya knowledge and experience including MEL
- An exceptional understanding of animation techniques and processes
- Strong technical background
Pluses - Previous shipped AAA PC or console titles as a tech artist / animator
- Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including animation and kinetics
- A passion for developing online games
- Understanding of the visual style of World of Warcraft and a passion to push it to the next level
- Knowledge of particle effects creation
