Description
The
Instructor designs, facilitates and instructs courses within the Ex’pression
curriculum under the supervision of the Program Director. Instructors teach,
inspire, motivate, guide, support and help students in their courses achieve
course and program learning outcomes.
Additionally, Instructors manage the administrative functions of the
course and participate in departmental and college functions.

Essential duties and accountability
·
Effectively
teach courses in their field of expertise within the Ex’pression curriculum.
·
Develop courses,
instructional plans, and course activities that support program objectives.
·
Establish a
classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement.
·
Contributes to a
learning culture within the classroom and across the entirety of the college.
·
Manage courses
by keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and
enforcing college policies and
procedures.
·
Participate in
academic advising, curriculum committees, supporting campus events such as
orientation and graduation, and
participating in
various other workshops and collegiate meetings.
·
Maintain
instructor eligibility according to applicable federal, state, and accrediting
regulations.
·
Supervise and
train assigned faculty including work schedule assignments, mentoring of new
faculty.
·
Assist in
coordination and implementation of departmental administrative functions
including resource management, performance
appraisals,
employee development, policy/procedure development, disciplinary actions and
conflict mediation.
·
Represent the
college to external entities in a professional and inspirational manner.
·
Abide by all
college policies and procedures.
·
Other duties as
required by the respective Program Director.

of subject matter taught in specific courses.

Education and/or
Experience
·
Four years of
experience in a related field.
·
A Bachelors
degree in a program related discipline
·
Teaching
experience in the appropriate field or has received instructor training.
