Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Working under the Producer, the Video Director will be responsible for creating videos for the Marketing department to use for promotional, corporate and sales purposes. The position is based in Montreal.

• Read briefs from “clients” and develop the project with the design team while respecting the client’s requests
• Supervise the work performed by the team members (offline editor, motion designers, sound team, 3D team) in collaboration with the leads of each video team department
• Ensure deadlines and budgets are met

Skills

• At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in video directing
• Wide range of experience in advertising and directing trailers and CGI (creating, scripting, storyboard development, offline and online editing, compositing/special effects, timing, etc.)
• Able to manage several projects directly and work within tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of web trends and the video game community

• Must be creative to offer and produce videos of the best possible quality
• Good understanding of technical and other limitations in video production
• Sense of initiative and creativity
• Passion for video games
