Technical Animator
Description
Respawn Entertainment is looking for enthusiastic Technical Animator to join our
team.
The Technical Animator will be responsible for helping to
maintain an efficient pipeline, building tools, and working closely with
the animation and 3D art teams.
Responsibilities:
- Rigging and skinning of characters and props.
- Developing and maintaining pipelines, tools, and
processes.
- Research and development, troubleshooting technical
issues, and keeping detailed records/documentation of tool creation.
- MEL/Python scripting in Maya.
- Seek to constantly raise the quality bar, develop
solutions, and work with 3D and animation teams to streamline processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience working on the technical side of
animation and 3D art in games.
- Experience in Maya scripting MEL/Python.
- Extensive rigging experience using Maya.
- Keen eye for proper skin deformation.
- Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Experience working with both key frame animation and
motion capture data.
- Shipped games a plus.
