Nitrogen Studios is a Vancouver
based animation studio looking for a Visual Development Artist to help us embark on an exciting
new CGI animated theatrical feature film, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's
"Sausage Party".
Position Overview:
The Visual Development Artist works
under the supervision of the Art Director and is responsible for creating
original concepts and designs for the production while maintaining the visual style.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and colour character and prop turnarounds and orthographic
views
Complete all tasks assigned within the scheduled timeframe
Accept feedback and critiques on designs and complete revisions in
a timely manner
Follow established naming conventions and file system
Carry out all tasks in a professional and positive manner
Required Skills & Experience:
2+ years in design for animation or graphic design
Graduate from an animation school preferred
BA/BFA Degree in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts field an asset
Strong concept of colour, composition and design
Excellent drawing skills
Proficient in Photoshop
Experience in film and television work
A working knowledge of Maya is an asset
Experience with Shotgun is an asset
Excellent communication skills
Good problem solving skills
Thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
Enjoys working in team atmosphere and has a proactive approach to
work
BC Residents preferred, but not essential
