VFX Artist

HEX Entertainment, creator of the digital trading card game HEX: Shards of Fate is looking for an amazing VFX Artist to join the team here in Lake Forest, CA.  We believe that the best games are created in an environment that values individual freedom, responsibility, and creativity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and creating 2D and 3D in-game assets
• Working hand in hand with R&D team to bring game ideas to functional ideals
• Create particle effects and user interface elements to enhance trading card gameplay

KEY KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

• Strong Photoshop, Affect Effects and Maya skills.
• Knowledge of Unity3D including scripting, shaders, prefabs, and particles.
• Must be able to work well within a cross disciplinary team.
• Motivated self starter - We want someone who sees what needs to be done and is not afraid to point it out.
• Excellent communication skills - You know how to give and take feedback. You know when to joke around and when you need to get conversations productive, back on-track.
• Creative problem solver - You have a knack for taking ideas and turning them into a technically viable reality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Two or more years experience professional experience building games.
