JOB TITLE: Character Designer

REPORTING TO:  Producer            

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:  

Brown Bag Films has opened a 2D Animation Studio in Manchester and is recruiting for the position of CHARACTER DESIGNER.

Working in a busy creative environment, the successful candidate will work on a new, high profile, 52x11 minute episode pre-school series for a global children’s channel.

The series is being created in ToonBoom Harmony.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Work with the Art Director to refine existing characters and props

·         Create further characters and props in the same style, ready for animation in ToonBoom Harmony

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

·         Credited experience of working as a Character Designer on a preschool series (please provide details)

·         Able to demonstrate design work aimed at the target audience

·         Experience in ToonBoom Animate Pro or Harmony preferable but not essential
