Ex’pression College is hiring adjunct instructors for our Interactive Audio (IA) program at our Emeryville location.
Ex’pression College is a digital arts college, that teaches and grants Bachelor’s Degrees in six programs: Animation & Visual Effects, Digital Filmmaking, Game Art & Design, Graphic Design & Motion, Interactive Audio, and Sound Arts. Ex’pression utilizes a professional, accelerated program, where students can earn their degree in just over 2.5 years. Class sizes are limited to ensure hands-on learning, instructor attention, and access to gear and equipment. Students learn and work with professional-grade equipment and studios.
Ex'pression is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong Knowledge of Logic Pro X
· Recording and Editing Audio & MIDI
· Software Instruments & Effects
· Composing and Sequencing
· Sampling and Synthesis
· Strong Presentation Skills
· Student Support & Advising
· Excellent Verbal and Written Interpersonal Communication Skills
· Strong Knowledge of Media Production Management and Industry Practices
Additional skills that will be considered:
· Music Theory
Experience in higher education is a huge plus, but not necessarily required for the right candidate with commensurate experience. All candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, leadership abilities, and a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Requirements
Minimum of a master degree earned in a relevant field from an accredited 4-year college, and at least four years professional experience is required.
