Graphics Software Developer (m/f) Rendering

In Research and Development we provide expert software solutions for 3D realtime visualization, asset management and immersive use cases. You will be part of the Visualization department within the R&D organziation, which is responsible for all rendering functionality used in 3DEXCITE's main product DELTAGEN and for our new rendering framework Stellar, which is used in a wider range of products.

Job Responsibilities

• Working on physics-based renderers, used in versatile scenarios ranging from real-time car configurators on a single PC to interactive or offline global illumination rendering on large clusters
• Developing, extending, optimizing and maintaining features and infrastructure of the Stellar renderers (rasterizer, raytracer, global illumination)
• Creating architectural specifications, ensuring functionality and integration with existing systems/platforms as well as defining interfaces
• Supporting the Scrum team in developing general Stellar functionality
• Collaborating with other software developers and engineers within the R&D organization to create and optimize interfaces

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, software engineering or in a similar specialization
• At least 2 years of work experience as a software developer, previous experience in a comparable position is an advantage
• Profound knowledge of and practical experience in at least one rendering area (rasterization, raytracing, global illumination, render engines)
• Very good know-how in physically based rendering
• Very good programming skills, especially in  C/C++ 
• Experience in GPU programming and functional programming is a plus
• Self-reliant, solution-oriented way of working with outstanding team and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
• Fluent in English, German language skills are beneficial
