3D GIS App Developer
Description
The Esri R&D Center Zurich is seeking a
skilled and creative researcher and developer to design and implement
mobile and web apps on top of our JavaScript API, services, and Runtime
SDKs.
Responsibilities:
- Design 3D city applications with state-of-the-art 3D graphics and innovative user interfaces
- Develop
web and mobile apps using a sustainable build system; build and
maintain unit tests using the latest methodology and technology
- Create interactive prototypes and demos for internal and collaborative research projects
- Support
our applied research activities with partners such as ETH Zurich,
University College London, and leading industry organizations
- Work closely with software developers and product engineers in a highly interactive, creative environment
Requirements:
- Solid background in software design and computer graphics
- Extensive web programming skills (JavaScript/HTML5/CSS, Frameworks)
- Familiarity with the principles of architecture, urban planning, and/or BIM
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet tight schedules
- Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills
- Bachelor’s or higher in computer science
Recommended Qualifications:
- Industry-based knowledge of the use of 3D GIS data for visualization and analysis
- Graphics programming skills (C++, OpenGL, ES, etc.)
- Experience with the Android platform
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, ArcObjects, or GIS software in general
- Experience in the design and implementation of touch-based user interfaces
